Start with three questions:

1. What do you do all day? If you're on your knees — concrete, roofing, flooring — you need reinforced knees or knee-pad inserts (B128, B111, B279). If you're mostly standing and walking, focus on pocket layout and fit instead.
2. What matters most — durability or comfort? 100% cotton canvas (B111) is a tough natural fabric but heavier; 65/35 poly-cotton blends (B128, B279) are lighter, resist shrinking, and dry faster.
3. How many do you need? Crews buying in bulk often mix: reinforced-knee pants for the rough jobs, lighter pairs for everyday wear.

If you wear knee pads daily, choose a model with insert pockets (B111, B279) — reinforced-only knees (B128) can't take inserts. Hanging tool pockets (detachable on select styles) are worth it if your tool load changes through the day; skip them if you carry light.
