Bauskydd Men's Reinforced Work Pants B279 – 65/35 Poly-Cotton, Reflective Strips

The B279 takes the reinforced work pant and adds two things the base models skip: reflective strips for low-light visibility and knee-pad insert pockets. Two detachable tool pockets (left and right) round out a pant that’s ready for long days that run past sunset.

Who It's For

Construction: The do-everything pant — reinforced build, knee-pad insert pockets for the days you're on concrete, reflective strips for low-light visibility, detachable pockets for a changing tool load.

Early-start crews: Starting before sunrise in the yard or on site — the reflective strips add visibility, the inserts handle the kneeling, and the pockets carry the tools.

Warehouse night shift: Same logic as the B232 jacket — visibility plus function. The 65/35 blend stays comfortable through long shifts, and the insert pockets are there when the job goes to the floor.

Mechanics: Pad inserts for concrete days, reflective strips for walking the lot after dark, pockets that detach in seconds when you're sliding under a vehicle.

Not for you if: you don't need reflective strips or knee-pad inserts — the B128 gives you the same core build for less.

Fabric & Construction

• 65% polyester / 35% cotton (non-stretch) — structured, durable canvas
• Reflective strips — enhanced visibility in low light
• Knee-pad insert pockets — fit standard pads (pads not included)
• Detachable tool and parts pockets — customizable utility
• Reinforced bartack stitching at stress points
• Sturdy metal buttons and zippers
• Reflective trim for enhanced visibility in low light. Not high-visibility safety apparel and not certified to ANSI/ISEA 107.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not bleach — bleach degrades reflective material. Remove knee pads and detachable pockets before washing.

B279 vs. Other Models

• vs. B128 — B128 is the reinforced-knee pant without inserts or reflectivity; B279 adds both plus keeps the detachable pockets.

Reflective and fluorescent models offer enhanced visibility only and are not certified to ANSI/ISEA 107.

Worth Knowing Before You Buy

• Size up if you're between sizes. Work pants run true to size, but if you carry tools in the pockets all day, the extra room matters. On models with adjustable hems, the hems handle the rest.
• 65/35 poly-cotton softens with washing. New canvas feels stiff out of the bag — that's normal. Two or three washes and it breaks in without losing its structure.
• Wash cold, dry low. High dryer heat wears work pants out faster. Low heat keeps the fabric, stitching, and reflective strips alive longer.
• Knee pads are not included. Models with insert pockets (B111, B279) fit standard knee pads.
